Our baby girl turned ONE on February 17th! We had her birthday party that Saturday. It was so much fun playing games, opening gifts, and of course eating cake and ice cream! Thanks so much to everyone who was able to come and celebrate with us!
We love you Ellie!

Here she is getting in her birthday outfit...
Everything was a pink, black & white theme. Her tutu was made by none other than meeee and the bow was made by Loni!
She ran around with her walker after getting dressed in her birthday outfit. It was so cute to watch her! Her bum was so poofy that it shook every time she took a step!

TJ was obviously ecstatic to be there!

As was Tahsha...can you tell they are brother and sis??

Justis, Abbie, Leah, Bridger & Ellie waiting for the fun to start!

Max & Tahsha
These pics are of the game we played first. We split everyone into 2 teams. At one end of the room we had 2 baskets filled with toys and at the other end were 2 empty baskets. The teams had to go back and forth taking all of the toys from the full baskets to the empty ones. The kicker was they could only crawl, walk on their knees, or crab walk. It turned out to be very amusing to watch. I'm sure they all gained a new appreciation of how our babies get around before walking!

Layner(Grandpa)

Corina(I'm certain Keith has seen her do this often...especially with her tongue sticking out!)

Nancy(Grandma)

Keith(He takes competition very seriously)

Vic(Grandpa Cowley)

Aunty Bug(She had lots of room to fit multiple toys...also called cheating!)

Maximus again.

Bridger doing the Ellie move, she loves carrying things in her mouth.

Brad(Also taking this game very seriously)

Ellie doing her model pose!
The next game we did was have everyone draw Ellie sitting. After 30 seconds you pass your paper to your right and start drawing on the persons paper you just got. We ended up with some very interesting artwork!

Sara & baby Wyatt
Next it was time to open her gifts! She got a lot of fun toys...THANKS EVERYONE!

Here she is warning Sylia to back off of her toys...guess we better work on sharing toys!

Finally time for cake! My cousin Mariah made this gorgeous, giant, delicious cake for the party! It turned out perfectly for the theme and everyone loved it! You can check out her blog on my blog list, Cakes by Mya. She does cakes for pretty much any event!

Ellie was more interested in sharing at first...

Here Bug...try some!

Hmmm...
I think I kinda like this!
You try Dad!

Ahhhhh...finally back into some normal clothes! Thanks again to everyone who made it! All the planning finally paid off.
Here are just a few things Ellie does:
*Walk
*Says: up, please, uh-0h, dada, mama, nana, papa, boo ya, no no no, meow, thanks, bye, drink, hiiiiii, love you, and book!
*Can sign "more"
*Gives kisses and can blow kisses
*Carries dvd's around with her finger in the hole
*Plays drums
*Takes 3 hour naps(ok so this is more fun for me than her)
*Loves watching Yo Gabba Gabba, Baby Einstein and Elmo's World
*Loves reading books
*Cries when we drop Bridger off at school, but scream with excitement when we pick him up!
